The Good Food Institute India
The Good Food Institute India (GFI India) is part of an international network of nonprofits with partners in Brazil, Israel, U.S., Europe, and Asia Pacific, on a mission to build a healthy, sustainable, and just global food system. Since our establishment in 2017, GFI India serves as the central thought leader and convening body in the space of plant-based, cultivated, and fermentation-based meat, eggs, and dairy that are collectively known as the ‘alternative protein’ or the ‘smart protein’ sector. With unique insight across the scientific, policy, industry, and investment landscapes, we are using the power of food innovation and markets to accelerate the transition of the world’s food system toward alternative proteins. In building the sector from the ground up in India, we’re aiming to establish a model for its growth all across the developing world.

Network of Indian Cultural Enterprises (NICEorg)
The cultural and creative economy of a country leverages the commercial potential of indigenous culture, heritage and knowledge transformed into a product, service or experience. The export of cultural and creative goods or services at the global level significantly enhances a country’s brand value, and, in turn, its soft power.
India is the seventh-largest exporter of cultural and creative goods across the world, yet the same unfortunate story of not having any meaningful representation on the world stage is repeated in every aspect of India’s cultural assets: from fashion and accessories, home decor and furnishings to food and beverages and even tourism.
There have been enormous efforts over the decades by multiple individuals, groups, governments and others to harness these cultural assets into brands that not only provide economic value and livelihoods but also help in creating a Brand India that is respected and valued around the world.
NICEorg aims to transform the status-quo by catalysing brand India through Cultural and Creative entrepreneurship. Towards realising this vision, NICEorg nurtures entrepreneurs, enables investments and fosters an eco-system. Through various programs like NICE Aarohana, NICE Samvaad, NICE Mantrana – a fast growing community of Cultural entrepreneurs, Investors and Mentors in Food & Beverages, Health, Wellness & Beauty, Fashion & Accessories, Home Décor & Furnishings and experiential Tourism are emerging.
NICEorg focus is on the demand side of interventions and grow brand-led investments in cultural enterprises. Changing demographics have modified the aspirations and needs of new consumers around the world. They now seek authentic, sustainable, holistic products, services and experiences. If billion-dollar cultural brands like Levi’s jeans, McDonald’s, Corona ($8b beer brand from Mexico!), Louis Vuitton, Gucci and so on emerge from the cultural credibility of their countries of origin, Isn’t it time that a billion dollar Yoga or Ayurvedic wellness or healthcare or a leading global fashion label brand emerges from India?
It is time for cultural entrepreneurship to successfully build Indian cultural brands. It is time for Brand India to take shape!
