Phase 1: Induction (17th September)

Certification from GFI India’s Smart Protein Digital Lab

Test your understanding of the smart protein sector through digital assessments and a live leadership board for participants across India. Participants scoring 60% or more will be certified from the world’s first Smart Protein Digital Lab. Certified participants will be added into The Good Food Institute’s Talent Database, viewed by smart protein companies in India and all over the world while recruiting.

Match-Making & Team Creation Week (22th October)

Build a mission-aligned founding team for your smart protein solution

Participants certified from GFI India’s Smart Protein Lab will be invited to form teams for Phase 2 onwards. You will be able to build a strong founding team to complement your own areas of expertise from a strong talent pool of students, scientists, researchers and industry professionals.

Phase 2: Ideation (1st November)

Develop solutions to the most pressing challenges in the smart protein sector

We have designed specific problem statements (Track 1) and identified broad themes (Track 2) on some of the overarching bottlenecks in the smart protein sector. You will have the opportunity to build solutions to achieve speed and scale towards the creation of alternative protein products.

Phase 3: Inspiration (13th December)

Build your smart protein solution

You will have the opportunity to build a technologically feasible solution to specific challenges in the smart protein sector with access to materials on science, technology, and business, mentorship in the form of focused webinars and 1:1 advisory sessions from GFI India’s team and industry experts.

Phase 4: Initiation (4th February)

Showcase your smart protein solution

You will have the opportunity to transform your smart protein idea into reality. You will gain insights from leading industry experts to strengthen your value proposition with the potential for collaboration and development opportunities.

Demo Day – World Protein Day (27th February)

Stand a chance to win cash prizes from a pool of INR 20 lakh

Finalists in Track 1 and Track 2 across plant-based, fermentation-derived, and cultivated technology areas will be chosen and invited to present to investors and advisors during a Demo Day. Impress our panel with your pitch, and you could secure mentorship opportunities and funding to incubate and launch your smart protein project into the world!
With a prize pool of INR 20 lakh, up to 20 winning teams stand a chance to win INR 1 lakh each! Teams from Track 1: Innovation and Track 2: Entrepreneurship will be awarded cash prizes at the end of Phase 4’s Demo Day.
